IN-PERSON & ZOOM MEETING: Tomb of the Unknown Soldier/Never Forget Garden Veterans Memorial
Sherry will show a slide presentation and talk about the “Never Forget Garden” that will join the many life size statues in the unique park called the Brazos Valley Veterans Memorial, located in College Station.
About Sherry Frisk
As an educator and administrator for a private school in Houston for 25 years, Sherry’s career centered around early childhood education. Upon retirement, she and her husband, Larry, returned to College Station in 2010. After restoring the 1920’s family home where she grew up, Sherry became very interested in historic preservation and became a member of the College Station Historic Preservation Committee and the Brazos County Historical Commission. As well as her work in historic cemetery restoration, Sherry is the treasurer for a committee formed to establish a memorial “Never Forget Garden,” joining other communities nationwide to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and honor all American veterans.
