Matt Mitchell serves as Public Information Officer for Austin Energy, the city's publicly-owned power company. He's been a fixture on the Austin airwaves since 2005 when he joined KVUE-TV as a sportscaster. After 11 years, Matt got into school communications for 6 years, working for Austin ISD and Leander ISD. Now the face of Austin Energy, Matt loves engaging with his fellow Austinites about the benefits of public power and the challenges and opportunities ahead for a nationwide leader in sustainable energy.
