An update on Club meetings and Quarterly dues in a time of COVID-19.
I hope all of our Club members, and their families and friends, are remaining healthy, and finding suitable ways to deal with the COVID-19 restrictions and disruptions to their lives. The Club's Board is working to continue the value of your membership through this challenging time.
Club Meetings:
The Board seeks to continue the Club's current Thursday meeting schedule thru virtual meetings. The plan is to use ZOOM to host the meetings. ZOOM is a leading provider of video and audio conferencing. While not face-to-face, we believe ZOOM will allow Club members to interact with our program speakers during the meeting. We are working to provide our next scheduled Club meeting on April 2nd thru ZOOM, with our scheduled speaker Carrie Vanston to provide her program titled Alligator Pit. Further instructions will follow next week.
Quarterly Dues:
The Board held a Special Meeting yesterday, during which it addressed the quarterly dues billing that will be going out in the next few days. The Board does not wish to retain the portion of dues related to the cost of the meals while the COVID-19 restrictions prevent the Club from meeting with a served lunch. However, it is uncertain when the Club can resume our normal luncheon meetings. Seeking to address this, the Board adopted the following action for the next two quarterly dues billings:
Quarterly dues of $250 will be billed for the 4th quarter of FY 2019/20 (April 1 to June 30, 2020), with the intent to rebate to each member meals missed due to COVID-19 restrictions at $17 per meal in the 1st quarter FY 2020/21 dues billing (for July 1 to September 30, 2020).
